Plural nouns

A – some things are thought of as being plural. So some nouns only have a plural form

B – some nouns only have a plural form when used with a particular meaning

Ex: talks

Agreement: Plural noun (subject) + plural form of the (verb)

Refreshments are needed

•           Do not usually use numbers + plural noun

But

•           General determiner + plural noun

Ex: three clothes are dirty (errado)

       All clothes are dirty

      Some clothes are dirty

•           Plural noun commonly used with “the”

Ex: the authorities pictures

•           Plural noun possessive determiner

Ex: her travels
